PROMORIVER
Around 80 people from the population resident around the Tinto river, volunteers from the Projecto Rios, Quercus and also partners from the Promoriver Project participated in this activity, in which 100 trees, namely oaks, alders, and other riparian species were planted.
The activity was intended to improve the biodiversity and quality of the environment around the Tinto river banks, and also to raise awareness to river pollution and deforestation.
The participants also cleaned the banks and river bed of garbage and debris.
Members from local authorities (town hall, municipality) and from local media (TV) were present and sensitized to the importance of this kind activities.
