Training course to promote the involvement of educators in the metodologies, targets and outdoor education about Environmental Education. The partcipants will learn about how to organize an awarneses action in the field of rivers.

Discovering the Trancão River

Let´s discover the charms of the Trancão River throught a nice trail of 20 km. We won´t jus walk, we will also make a cleaning activity to awarnes about the rivers polution´s problem.

Planting activity with autoctone species in the margins of the bank and walk along the water lines. Removing invasive species. First Land art festival.

Promoriver training course
03 to 05 October 2014
With the aim to promote and strengthen the involvement of educators and learners in outdoor education, especially in riparian areas, through a space of reflection, experimentation and joint participation. The participants will learn about the potential of the rivers, and how to promote conservation and raise awareness to river problems, by the means of theoretical and practical training, workshops and field activities

VIII Environmental rally - Raft descent of the Douro river
05 and 06 July 2014
Aiming to promote the environmental awareness of the participants and of the general population towards water and rivers related problems and also to promote the cooperation between environmental movements and associations, the Ecoclubes organization promotes the descent of the Douro River in rafts built with reused materials by the participants.

Greece meeting

The second PromoRiver meeting took place in Edessa, Greece, and finished today on the 6th of May 2014. Actions and initiatives performed by all partners were discussed, as well as how to proceed with future actions.

River monitoring activity, Portugal
22 April 2014
On the 29th April 2014, ASPEA is organising a monitoring activity of the Trancão River in Lisbon, Portugal. Volunteers will help to assess the quality of the water, as the river was known to be highly polluted and has undergone a lot of restoration work to improve it.

Rehabilitation of watercourses at Quinta Ecologica da Moita, Portugal
